Yet another nail biter and disappointing lose...

Wandy, Wandy, Wandy!!! What are we 'Stros fans going to do with you! After a night game that showed no real promises these are the results...

Wandy Rodriguez left the game in th 4th inning because of a sore groin, and the Astros seemed to fall apart after that. The Astros only scored 2 runs on 5 hits and made 1 error. My player to watch may have had a good night last night but did not tonight. Hunter Pence went 1 for 3 but that was it. J R Towles however had a good night he went 1 for 3 also hitting his 4th homer of the season. The Astros record is now 6 and 12. (They have a 3 game skid going into tomorrows game.)

A bad call in the 7th from the 2nd base umpire made the game a little painful for this Astros fan to watch. A deep fly ball off of Geoff Blum's bat set the stage for the call. The Rockies center fielder Spilborghs had his back to the second base umpire and had to leave his feet to make the catch that was not a catch! Cecil Cooper went out to argue the call but it was to no avail, the call remained and Coop was sent to the showers.

As far as the rest of the Rockies go, they had 3 runs on 9 hits and also made 1 error. Which brings their record to 9 and 8. Maybe Shawn Chacon can get them tomorrow. That is why he is my player to watch. Shawn went 8 solid innings his last start throwing 109 pitches! Until tomorrow...
